The Greens in the seat of Sydney have chosen not to recommend preferences on their How to Vote cards.
Rather, as preferences are optional in state elections, voters are encouraged to either make up their own minds on preferences or simply vote 1 Chris Harris.
“I am not giving my preferences to any party or other candidate. It is not up to me to decide who the people of Sydney preference in this election. No party or candidate in NSW State elections has a sack of votes that they can just hand over to someone else. It is up to the voters to decide who they want - as it should be.
“What we need to tell voters is that if you vote 1 Chris Harris for Sydney on March 24th, and then mark your second choice with a ‘2′ that’s where your vote goes.”

“The Greens policy does not support unlimited supply of any drug, least of all crystal methamphetamine.” Read the rest of this entry »
